The salary range for this position is CAD $38.13/Hr. - CAD $54.82/Hr.

Come work as a Talent Acquisition Advisor with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!  

 

Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our Medical Staff Talent Acquisition team. This advisor will focus on our Coastal Community of Care and will be hybrid, with 1-2 days a week in person. 

 

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:

  • Provide expert advice and develop strategies and services to support Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) Medical Staff portfolio.
  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process by proactively sourcing, screening, and identifying qualified physicians in a competitive job market. 
  • Identify recruitment needs, research and advise on emerging trends, best practices. 
  • Plan and carry out corporate recruitment initiatives to meet critical staffing needs. 
  • Facilitate the end-to-end recruitment process by utilizing innovative, creative and professional recruiting methods, coordinate and develop advertising material, and develop proposals for new and creative avenues for promoting medical staff opportunities. 
  • Maintain strong internal and external working relationships across the organization to foster continuous performance excellence. 
  • Foster effective working relationships with representatives from academic institutions, professional associations, recruitment agencies, and other organizations, and maintain an up-to-date pipeline of eligible candidates. 

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/Commerce (with a concentration in Human Resources) plus three (3) to five (5) years’ recruiting experience in a dynamic and diverse organization or an equivalent, combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Experience partnering with healthcare professionals including physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners desirable.
  • Experience serving remote and rural communities.

 

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided with sensitivity to diversity and indigenous lens.
  • Practices the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity-deserving groups.
  • Proven innovative, motivated, and enthusiastic talent professional. Extensive knowledge of human resources and recruitment principles and practices, hiring regulations, codes of ethics and health care professional licensing.

  • Extensive experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, recruitment search methods, and social media.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication (both written and verbal), facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Advanced skill in current computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database).
  • Promotes VCH brand by providing effective and professional recruitment services to external candidates and external organizations.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
