Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role is key to managing the team’s activities and motivating them to achieve their objectives.

In this role you will ensure completed work meets all specifications and compliances, whilst also ensuring health and safety is a priority. You will be involved with solving day to day problems with the team and identifying where productivity improvements can be made.

Completing risk assessments, ensuring the team is trained to adequately meet objectives and investigating minor accidents and NCRs will also be part of the role.

Job Duties: 

Able to Influence Safety & Quality Behaviours with team aligned to Rotork Operating Guidelines

Enforce Team Strict Adherence to Safety Requirements & Practices. Conduct toolbox talks. Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to 5S and housekeeping standards.

Report near misses, incidents, and participate in root cause analysis.

To ensure compliance with ISO 9000, and HSE management systems. 

Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues or non-conformances

Implement Improvements & Follow Set Quality Standards. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices

Plan, allocate, and monitor daily production tasks to meet shift targets.

 Conduct shift meetings, assign responsibilities, and provide on-the-job training.

 Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.

 Able to trouble shoot Welding & Mechanical Assembly Process issues.

 Ensure adherence to production schedules and minimize downtime

 Set individuals within team SMART objectives in line with Rotork focus goals and ambition

 Ensure that the team is adequately trained to meet its objectives, support and develop team-working

 Ensure TP suppliers are vetted and maintain standards to support Rotork standards

Qualifications

Diploma  in Mechanical, Production, or related fields.

2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and SOPs.

Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Good communications skills/ able to facilitate across site and make things happen.

Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems).

Team Leader qualification or training (desirable)

Trained in HSE, Lean and ISO standards. Promote a “right first time” mindset on the shop floor

Able to work with customers, suppliers and auditors.

Comfortable in a matrix structure environment

Analytical approach and medium term prospective.
