An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Gatehouse Supervisor to join our CML Lutterworth team on a Full time and permanent basis.

Shift: 4ON 4OFF Days - 06:00am-18:00pm.

Job Description

As Gatehouse Supervisor you will lead and motivate the Gatehouse team on site to achieve a smooth throughput of vehicle movement on site both physically and systemically and optimize day to day activities with a hands on approach while ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety are maintained and standards are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate the Gatehouse team in order to ensure productivity and service KPI’s are achieved or exceeded during the day to day running
  • Co-ordinate any issues and escalate as required
  • Deliver communication briefings so that all the team is aware of all company and local comms, and employees are able to offer input
  • Develop all team members so that their contributions to the team can be maximised and succession plan.
  • Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with company policy and carry out return to works interviews effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor and control time and attendance system.
  • To cover all staff holidays and absence where possible
  • Enforce and adhere to all companies’ policies and procedures.
  • Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the Gatehouse team
  • Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all Gatehouse activities
  • To ensure compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures through safe systems of work, SOPs and practices, good housekeeping and the provision of information to ensure total safety awareness.
  • To assist in the organisation of training and development for gatehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching, and to evaluate training effectiveness in terms of improved individual and team performance and the maximum flexibility of team members, and deliver a meaningful personal development plan.
  • To offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual, including behavioural issues and highlighting good performance and areas for further development.
  • To participate as an active member of the management team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus and team working
  • Deal with all customer service queries in a timely manner
