Now Hiring: CNC Machine Tool Field Service Technician / Engineer

Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)
Compensation: $35–$55 per hour
Travel: Some travel required

This field-based role supports customers through expert installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tools and related systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, independence, and the ability to manage complex service situations with professionalism and confidence.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools and associated systems at customer locations
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Ensure proper equipment calibration and performance to meet industry and client standards
• Provide technical guidance and customer training on equipment use and preventive maintenance
• Maintain detailed service documentation and reports
• Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
• Travel as required to meet customer service demands

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machine tool service and repair
• Expert-level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints
• Strong customer-facing skills with a commitment to high-quality service
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, precision measurement instruments, and hands-on repair
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including occasional overnight assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

*Experience with specialized CNC equipment or advanced industrial technologies
*Ability to train and mentor junior service technicians
*Experience with advanced troubleshooting techniques, including remote diagnostics

Technology and Tools

-Ability to operate and troubleshoot specialized service tools and test equipment
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-Familiarity with cloud-based reporting systems and digital documentation platforms

Additional Requirements

*Willingness to travel, including overnight stays as needed
*Ability to manage multiple service calls and prioritize effectively
*Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support customer needs
*Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation
*Ability to work independently while representing MMS professionally in the field
