Warehouse Technician

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth process of receiving shipments, pulling, and packing orders. Your primary duties will be storing products, receiving incoming deliveries, shipping out materials, managing stock, maintaining a warehouse's cleanliness, and inspecting products to detect defects or damage.

Duties & Functions

· Receiving Materials

o Receive shipments, including unloading trucks inside warehouse and in yard.

o Verify materials received are in good condition, proper items ordered. Proper quantities and turn paperwork into management for receipt into NetSuite.

o Put materials in proper warehouse / property locations designated for materials / inventory.

· Pulling / Packing Orders

o Pick, palletize and package orders for shipping in a safe and protective way.

o Inspect that materials are clean and in proper condition as pulling orders.

o Inform management of any product issues or shortages.

· Shipping out orders / loading trucks 

o Load orders from Warehouse with fork-lift.

o Load orders from yard with Skid-Steerer.

o Collaborate with customers, vendors, other staff as information is needed.

· Counting inventory items

o Counting of hard good materials.

o Verify the accuracy of all counts.

o Notify management of any inventory count discrepancies.

o Keep records of counts for future review.

· Maintaining Warehouse / Materials

o Maintain inventory / materials in an organized manner.

o Maintain a clean warehouse, shipping dock and outdoor storage areas.

o Keep doors and exit signs open and clear.

· Processing Sample request and maintain sample room.

o Collaborate with the sales and estimating team for prompt and accurate pulling, packing, and shipping of product samples.

o Maintain clear communication with all parties regarding samples and tracking information.

o Ship sample orders in a timely manner.

o Manage sample inventory levels.

Requirements

· Previous shipping, receiving and warehouse experience. 

· Excellent counting and documenting inventory counts

· Some computer skills to include MS Office Suite

· Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.

· Individuals must be dependable, have good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to interact and communicate with associates at all levels.

· Must be able to multi-task and handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a professional, prompt manner. 

· Must be able to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks.
