Infant & Toddler Teacher (Full-Time)

Temecula & Murrieta Locations
(Position designated to support both campuses)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Infant & Toddler Teacher who understands that nurturing care, responsive relationships, and intentional play lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. This position will serve both our Temecula and Murrieta locations, with the employee designated to support and work at both campuses as needed.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Child Development & Classroom Practices

  • Provide nurturing, responsive, and individualized care for infants and toddlers
  • Build secure attachments through consistent, relationship-based caregiving
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum
  • Support sensory, fine motor, gross motor, language, and social-emotional development
  • Maintain predictable routines while adapting to individual child needs
  • Conduct ongoing observations and document developmental milestones
  • Complete DRDP assessments (as applicable)

Health, Safety & Supervision

  • Maintain constant active supervision of children at all times
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
  • Follow all health and sanitation procedures, including diapering and feeding protocols
  • Respond appropriately to children’s physical and emotional needs
  • Maintain compliance with California Title 22 regulations and licensing standards
  • Implement emergency procedures as needed

Family Partnerships

  • Communicate daily with families regarding routines, milestones, and developmental progress
  • Support family goals and cultural practices within the classroom
  • Participate in parent conferences and program events

Professional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teaching team and leadership
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
  • Maintain required documentation and classroom records
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional standards
  • Support both Temecula and Murrieta campuses as assigned

Requirements

Physical Responsibilities

  • Frequently lift and carry children weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Sit on the floor for extended periods and engage in floor-level play
  • Bend, kneel, squat, and reach throughout the day
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Safely lift infants in and out of cribs and changing stations
  • Push strollers or evacuation cribs as needed
  • Perform diapering and toileting routines
  • Maintain visual and auditory supervision at all times
  • Respond quickly in emergency situations
  • Perform classroom cleaning and sanitizing duties

Required Qualifications

  • ECE Units required under California Title 22 for Infant/Toddler Teachers (including Infant/Toddler units, as applicable)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid California Teaching Permit or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach with a genuine passion for early childhood development

Bonus Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of DRDP (Infant/Toddler) implementation
  • Basic knowledge of the Environment Rating Scale (ITERS)
  • Experience working in an infant or toddler classroom
