Being a member of the Q-Lift crew at QLI is more than just driving. Our Transportation Specialists deliver a critical element of our mission by ensuring our residents, clients, families and team members have access to the places and people who matter most in their lives. Our drivers have access to customized and accessible Mercedes Sprinter vans to provide safe and efficient drop off and pick up rides across the Omaha areas. In addition to providing reliable transportation, the Q-Lift team builds deep relationships with our riders, so people skills are a must for our drivers.

Job Overview:
The Transportation Specialist supports our logistics and transportation operations by coordinating routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures, and providing excellent customer service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for part-time, flexible hours.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily transportation schedules and routes for efficient drop-off and pick-up.
  • Communicate with staff and residents regarding transportation needs and status updates.
  • Assist with route planning and optimization to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation logs and vehicle status.
  • Provide support for troubleshooting any transportation issues that arise during operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with resident and staff inquiries, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Certified to work in Nebraska as a nursing assistant. (required) We offer PAID training for the right candidate if you do not have your certification yet.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

A drug screen and criminal background check are required. Must not have any condition or limitation that could pose a direct threat to self or others unless such threat can be eliminated by a reasonable accommodation. Must be able to pass a fitness assessment designated for this job title and perform all physical activities related to the position. Regular attendance in your assigned role is an essential job function.


Flu Considerations: Must commit to receiving annual flu vaccination; we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge
