Therapeutic Intake Coordinator (LCSW / LPC)

Ally Psychiatry is seeking a Full-time Therapeutic Intake Coordinator (LCSW or LPC) to join our growing clinical team in a fully remote role serving patients in Kentucky.


This role plays a vital part in a patient’s first experience with our organization. The Therapeutic Intake Coordinator conducts comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations (CPT 90791) for new patients entering care, ensuring thorough assessments that support accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment planning, and a smooth transition to ongoing care with our prescribing providers.

Key Responsibilities


• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations (CPT 90791) for new patients, including clinical history, presenting concerns, psychosocial background, and mental status examination.

• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EMR in accordance with Ally Psychiatry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Identify provisional diagnoses and initial treatment recommendations based on assessment findings.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure seamless transition into ongoing psychiatric care.

• Screen for safety concerns including suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, abuse, or neglect, and follow appropriate clinical protocols when risk is identified.

• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and available resources.

• Maintain a consistent evaluation schedule to support patient access and clinic capacity goals.

• Participate in clinical team meetings, case consultation, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

 

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited program.

• Active, unrestricted clinical license in the applicable state (LCSW, LICSW, LPC, or equivalent).

• Experience conducting psychiatric diagnostic evaluations or clinical assessments in a behavioral health setting preferred.

• Strong knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria and familiarity with evidence-based screening and assessment tools.

• Experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

• Excellent clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to quickly build rapport with patients during intake evaluations.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to maintain productivity expectations.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

• Experience working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan preferred.

• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
