Job Summary
The Packaging Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Packaging Electrical department, leading a team of Electrical Installers responsible for wiring, installing, and testing electrical systems on generator packages and enclosures. This role combines technical electrical expertise with leadership responsibility to ensure production goals, safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently achieved.
Essential Job Functions
· Supervise and support Electricians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.
· Lead daily production activities to meet scheduling and invoicing goals.
· Provide hands-on technical guidance related to electrical installation and troubleshooting.
· Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
· Review electrical blueprints, panel layouts, and specifications prior to production.
· Coordinate workflow with Packaging, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
· Communicate daily department updates including production status and improvement opportunities.
· Train, coach, and develop team members on electrical processes and safety procedures.
· Monitor workmanship quality and ensure installations meet company and customer standards.
· Assist in diagnosing electrical issues and implementing corrective actions.
· Plan labor and resources to support production schedules and packaging deadlines.
· Promote continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Education and Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· 3+ years electrical installation experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
· Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
· Strong knowledge of low and high voltage electrical systems
Equipment/Machinery Used
Forklift, tape measure, hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, testing equipment, lifts, electrical diagnostic tools, safety tools.

- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods
- Repetitive use of hands, arms, and upper body
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds (or position-specific limit)
- Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely
- Ability to read and interpret measurements using a ruler or measuring tools
- Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing PPE
Working Condition
This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and hard or uneven walking surfaces. Work may involve proximity to heavy equipment, tools, forklifts, and production machinery. OSHA-compliant safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times while in production and warehouse areas.
