Our Retail Store is the ultimate source for the home, garden, and landscape where discerning homeowners can find inspirational ideas, creative solutions, and expert advice. Departments include Nursery (outdoor plants), Glasshouse (indoor plants), Garden Shop (hard garden products), Home & Holiday (softlines), and Pet Essentials. In our retail store we employ 50+ year-round staff members and 100+ seasonal employees.

We have an opportunity for an e-Commerce and Retail Fulfillment Associate to join our team that's responsible for the care of the plants in our Nursery so they're in peak condition for our customers to take home.

Responsibilities include:

• Plant care of Annuals, Perennials, Tropicals, Vegetables, Herbs, Natives, Evergreens and other plant materials; includes watering, pruning, fertilizing and pest management.
• Keep Nursery areas and walkways clean, organized and fresh as well as ensuring safety by keeping walkways clear of hoses.
• Assist in tasks or projects with our Inventory teams like pricing and receiving, as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Experience in Retail, plant care or pest and disease management is a plus.
• Proven record of providing excellent customer service to both co-workers and customers.
• Ability to work varied hours and/or days as the needs of our seasonal business dictates. Hours are usually 8am-5pm and we are open typically 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. so support is needed prior to store opening. Being available to work at least one weekend day is a must.
• Be able to lift 40 pounds and stand on your feet for long periods of time.
• Self-driven, handy, enjoys working both outside and in.
