About the Role

Job Overview 综述

Celanese is seeking a proactive and experienced Data Engineer with advanced Power BI expertise to lead the development and support of ETL pipelines, dashboards, and data analytics solutions. The role involves working with tools like Alteryx, Python, SparkSQL, Cognite Data Fusion, and GraphDB, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities 职责

Key Responsibilities:

ETL & Data Engineering

  • Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using one of Alteryx, Informatica, SSIS ETL tools.
  • Develop Python (Streamlit, Pandas, Numpy) scripts for data transformation and automation.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather and document requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Build ETL Pipelines on Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) – willing to learn and explore on own.

Power BI Development

  • Build and enhance interactive dashboards using Power BI.
  • Apply advanced DAX for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
  • Optimize visualizations for performance and usability.
  • Provide demos and walkthroughs to stakeholders.

SQL & Data Modeling

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data ingestion, extraction and analysis.
  • Model and manage data in GraphDB or similar graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune).
  • Design graph-based schemas and optimize queries.

Qualifications 要求

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Power BI development.
  • Strong proficiency in SparkSQL, Python (Streamlit, Numpy, Pandas), and ETL tools (Alteryx, Informatica, SSIS).
  • Experience with GraphDB or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Data Modelling
  • Familiarity with Cognite Data Fusion or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in production support and change management.
  • Team lead capabilities, should be able to lead at least 2-3 juniors in the team
