Accounting Supervisor

NOV is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our Finance Shared Services team in Monterrey. This role is responsible for overseeing general ledger and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, and compliance with corporate accounting standards.

- On-site: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Remote: Tuesday and Thursday
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- This schedule is non-negotiable
- Current students will not be considered
- Conversational English is required due to regular interaction with global stakeholders
What You Will Do
- Supervise and coordinate daily accounting activities within the team
- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Ensure proper balance sheet reconciliations and timely resolution of reconciling items
- Support intercompany accounting processes and related reconciliations
- Analyze financial results and variances, and provide explanations to management
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and applicable accounting standards
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate workload distribution and provide guidance to accounting staff
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting, ideally within a multinational company or shared services environment
- Previous experience supervising or leading accounting staff
- Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and month-end close
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Conversational English
- Leadership mindset with strong accountability
- Structured and process-oriented approach
- Ability to communicate clearly across teams and functions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
