About The Company
Beacon Hill Club is situated on nine picturesque acres in Summit, New Jersey on the site of a Revolutionary War Landmark. The focal point of the Club is the 27-room Tudor Clubhouse built in 1910. We are a family-oriented club dedicated to providing a first class member experience with a robust blend of social, sporting and family oriented activity that appeals to all age groups and demographics. One of our most unique assets is an outdoor ice-rink which is a member favorite for hockey, ice-skating and other ice related programming. Additional amenities include a 28,000 square foot clubhouse, 11,000 square foot carriage house, two restaurants, two pools, three pickle ball courts, four platform tennis courts, and seven har-tru tennis courts. Our main Club objective is to provide first-class service within all areas for our members and we rely on a dedicated, high-caliber staff to share this objective. About the Role

Description


Beacon Hill Club is looking for energetic and caring individuals to work at our pool this summer! The Lifeguard recognizes and responds to emergencies as appropriate and reacts calmly and effectively in all emergencies. The Lifeguard is also responsible for general pool-area safety by enforcing pool rules and assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment.


The pool season runs from Memorial Day weekend to the weekend following Labor Day.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Recognize and respond to emergencies and administer first aid

· Enforce club safety policies and rules to prevent accidents

· Inspect the pool facility daily and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisors

· Perform light cleaning duties such as trash removal, watering plants on the pool deck, etc.

· Participate in regular in-service training sessions as required

· Assist Head Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Managers, as required


Requirements:

· Available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays during the pool season

· Attend all regular staff meetings and complete required trainings

· Red Cross Lifeguard certification


Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time

· Swimming during shift

· Lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.

· Exposure to adverse weather conditions
