The Westlake Village Inn & Spa is currently hiring a Pool Food Runner for the season. If you have a passion for providing excellent customer service, enjoy working outdoors, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

General Responsibilities:

· Transport food and beverage orders from the kitchen or bar to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner

· Double check all orders before delivery to ensure accuracy, presentation, and that all items are complete

· Maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of all food and beverage menu items

· Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guests’ needs, answering questions about menu items, and addressing any concerns promptly

· Ensure the pool area remains clean and organized by clearing empty dishes, drinkware, trash, and debris

· Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders to ensure the smooth flow of service and maintain high standards of quality

· Assist in maintaining the poolside area, including replenishing towels, adjusting umbrellas, and rearranging pool furniture to ensure guest comfort

· Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper food handling and ensuring the pool area is safe for guests and staff

· Strive to exceed guest expectations by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experiences:

• Must be 18+ to serve alcohol

• Valid Driver’s License

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-paced environment

• Completion of California Food Handler Card or Certificate within 30 days of hire

• Completion of Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification within 60 days of hire

• Complies with all policies and standards

• Ability to work long hours during peak times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Availability to work various shifts including evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays

• Strong work ethic and dependability

• Performs other duties as assigned 

• Bilingual is a plus

As a customer-facing position, maintaining a professional appearance is essential to provide guests with a clean, safe, and high-quality experience. Employees must adhere to the following grooming standards:

• Hair must be neatly styled and kept out of face for hygiene and safety

• Tattoos must be covered during working hours unless they are part of a religious or cultural practice (reasonable accommodations can be made)

• Facial piercings should not be visible; discreet jewelry may be permitted

• Uniforms must be worn as specified, and grooming standards must be maintained throughout the shift
