JOB SUMMARY
JR McDade is currently seeking a full-time Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in the construction interior finishes industry. Together with organization and attention to detail, the Purchasing Coordinator manages material orders, in accordance with established processes, and creates an encompassing order among our variety of manufacturers and suppliers that addresses all project timelines. Great opportunity to build on administrative skills and learn about the construction industry. Training provided.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interpret reports to determine what materials are needed and to ensure timely arrival.
- Communicate and address any delayed or unprocessed material orders to parties of interest.
- Confirm and document confirmation of materials on order.
- Responsively order any urgent materials/supplies upon request.
- Confirm pricing in accordance with corporate pricing agreement.
- Coordinate product file uploads with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring accurate data upload.
- Manually input product files that are not available in electronic catalogue.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - 2+ years of administrative experience in areas such as operations, inventory, logistics, purchasing, or sales support.
- 1+ years of purchasing experience preferred.
- Previous work experience with flooring products or construction materials preferred.
- Previous work experience using Microsoft Office applications as a daily requirement.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing for training and project updates and to independently handle external and internal requests.
- Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to understand order quantities, measurements, billing, and customer payments and related financial transactions.
