Our St. Peters facility is R2v3/RIOS Certified. Our St. James location is not Certified.
About the Role

We have a great opportunity at our St. James yard. </p><p><strong>Duties/Responsibilities:</strong><br>• Direct, supervise, lead and manage team to ensure operational efficiencies and excellent service to customers. <br>• Responsible for scheduling staff to cover shifts and delegate tasks to ensure materials are prepped <br>and ready for shipping schedule.<br>• Conduct employment interviews and work with HR to ensure departments are fully staffed.<br>• Ensure that each employee has the right training and skills for safe operation of equipment.<br>• Leads team in overall safety procedures and practices.<br>• Ensures production and quality KPIs are met.<br>• Ensures equipment repairs are reported accordingly to minimize downtime.<br>• Monitor and adhere to operations budget.<br>• Is the subject matter expert for Ferrous and Non Ferrous Operations.</p><p><br><strong>Preferred Education and Experience:</strong><br>• Bachelor’s degree preferred. <br>• 5+ years knowledge of ferrous and non ferrous metals and scrap yard management. <br>• 5+ years production supervisory experience and customer service experience in a fast-paced <br>environment required.<br>• Excellent knowledge of operations, leadership, analytical, communication and computer skills. <br>• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems; deal with many <br>variables and determine a specific course of action.<br>• Forklift, skid steer and material handler experience. </p><p><em><strong>At Didion Orf we offer: </strong></em></p><ul><li>Excellent work life balance</li><li>Excellent benefits</li><li>Flexible scheduling</li><li>Excellent pay to match experience with operations management/industry knowledge with bonus opportunities</li></ul>
