Job Summary: 


The Staff Accountant?is responsible for?supporting our Accounting General Ledger activity. The?focus?will be on posting Journal Entries,?rolling?and updating?account?reconciliations,?maintaining?integrity within journal entry data, performing basis financial?analysis?and supporting the accounting team as needed.? 


Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and post basic journal entries?in accordance with?established accounting procedures? 
  • Post payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related reports? 
  • Assist?with bank?reconciliations and posting transactions as needed for bank recs?? 
  • Roll forward and?maintain?recurring accounting schedules and supporting files? 
  • Support month-end close activities for multiple plants? 
  • Assist?with account reconciliations and variance follow-ups? 
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records? 
  • Maintain organized documentation to support audits and internal reviews? 
  • Support fixed asset accounting activities such as additions, disposals, and depreciation tracking? 
  • Support other general staff accounting tasks as needed, including ad hoc analysis and reporting 


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree?or greater?in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field? 
  • CPA or CIA, preferred? 
  • 1+ years of experience?in accounting?focused on general ledger? 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals including US GAAP? 
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance operations (month-end close, systems, controls, reporting)? 
  • Hands-on experience with finance or accounting? 
  • Demonstrated?history?critical thinking and attention to detail? 
  • Strong communication?and influence skills; comfortable driving change without formal authority? 
  • Highly organized, resilient, and pragmatic in imperfect environments?
