JOB SUMMARY:
The Utah Jazz are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support the creative efforts of the Salt Lake City Stars (NBA G League), with additional focus on Salt Lake City Summer League and select Utah Jazz initiatives as needed. This role will play a key part in bringing the Stars brand to life across social media, in-arena environments, live events, print materials, and practice facility design elements.
Working under the direction of the Graphic Design Manager, the ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven sports environment. This designer will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow while contributing to a collaborative creative team. Candidates must submit a portfolio or portfolio website for review.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and produce social media graphics for the Salt Lake City Stars and SLC Summer League, supporting game nights, promotions, player features, ticketing, and community initiatives.
- Create in-arena graphics including LED boards, scoreboard elements, stat graphics, signage, and other live-event visuals.
- Support event-based design needs such as theme nights, special activations, sponsorship elements, and fan-facing experiences.
- Design print materials including uniforms, giveaways, flyers, credentials, and internal-facing assets.
- Assist with practice facility and arena design elements, including wall graphics, wayfinding, and environmental branding.
- Occasionally support Utah Jazz design needs during peak periods, including marketing campaigns, events, or seasonal initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, partnerships, basketball operations, and community teams to ensure designs align with brand goals and timelines.
- Maintain brand consistency across the Salt Lake City Stars, Summer League, and Utah Jazz while contributing fresh, creative ideas.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver work on tight deadlines in a live sports environment.
- Organize and maintain creative assets and files according to team standards.
- Stay current on design trends in sports, social media, and live-event production.
- Contribute positively to a team-first, collaborative culture, and support an inclusive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year degree in graphic design or related field.
- 1-2 years applied design-related experience, or a body of work that reflects an equivalent experience.
- Web portfolio demonstrating strong skills in graphic design, branding, layout design, typography, photo editing, and print with attention to detail.
- Speed and proficiency with current Adobe Creative Suite on MacOS.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work well on quick turnarounds and short deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
