Join the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South as a Summer Camp Site Director or Site Director Floater and be a difference-maker! An unforgettable summer isn’t just about fun activities and field trips, it’s about the leaders who create memorable experiences for kids. We’re looking for high-energy, positive role models who are ready to lead, inspire, and engage in an action-packed summer!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age and pass pre-employment background checks/drug screening.
- Four years of college with 2 years of experience administering a child care/educational program, which includes staff supervisory experience OR
- Two years of college with 30 hours in business or management, child or youth development, or related field and 2 years experience administering a child care/educational program, which includes staff supervisory experience OR
- High school diploma with 4 years experience administering a child care/educational program and 30 hours of TECTA administrator or Child Development Associate (CDA); staff supervisory experience.
- Current CPR/AED, First Aid and Child Abuse Training or obtain with 30 days of hire date.
- Complete all components of licensing requirements for Mississippi State Department of Health or Tennessee Department of Human Services.
YOUR IMPACT:
- Supervise all camp counselors, providing leadership and guidance.
- Actively participate in all camper activities to create an engaging and dynamic experience.
- Plan and coordinate daily activities
- Prioritize camper safety at all times, both on-site and during outings.
- Be a positive role model, fostering a fun, inclusive, and structured camp environment.
- Uphold camp policies and address behavioral issues with professionalism and care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming camp space for all participants.
