About the Role

Description

StepStone Hospitality is seeking an energetic and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join the sales and events team at the Four Points by Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport Westshore. This role is responsible for driving catering and event revenue, building strong client relationships, and ensuring exceptional event experiences for our guests.


Position Summary
The Catering Sales Manager leads the planning, promotion, and execution of catering and banquet events. This role works closely with the General Manager, sales team, and operations departments to ensure seamless delivery of all events while achieving revenue and profitability goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive catering and banquet revenue.
  • Generate leads, manage inquiries, and convert them into confirmed events.
  • Conduct site visits and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Food & Beverage, and Event teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Prepare contracts, event orders, and ensure all client requirements are clearly communicated.
  • Maintain accurate records in the property’s sales and catering system.
  • Track event revenue, progress toward sales goals, and market trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate, social, and local community clients.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to promote the property.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of catering or hotel sales experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Proven track record of achieving catering revenue goals.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with sales and catering software (e.g., Delphi, Cater ease, or similar).
  • Hospitality-focused, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or related field.
  • Experience with Marriott brand or similar select-service hotel operations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
