Turnwell Mental Health seeks to add a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to our rapidly growing team! We excel in providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of post-training experience.
We are offering a $5,000 signing bonus and highly competitive salary to a well-qualified candidate.
As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare, 5 days a week, to patients in a recovery and detox Center. Two (2) of the 5 days must be Saturday and Sunday; the additional three (3) days are flexible.
Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing and treating common conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal care.
In addition to providing primary care services, you will contribute to health promotion, preventive care, and education for patients and their families. Your role as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner will require a compassionate approach, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of your patients.
Requirements
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments on patients, including physical examinations and assessment of psychosocial factors.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and collaborate with healthcare teams for further evaluation if needed.
Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, considering their unique healthcare needs and developmental stages.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions based on evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Monitor growth and development milestones, and offer guidance on nutrition, safety, and overall well-being.
Acute Care and Minor Procedures:
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, and removal of foreign bodies as needed.
Chronic Disease Management:
- Manage chronic pediatric conditions, collaborating with specialists and coordinating comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and families on managing chronic illnesses and promoting self-care.
Developmental and Behavioral Health:
- Assess and address developmental and behavioral concerns in patients.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to provide support for patients with behavioral health issues.
Health Promotion and Education:
- Provide health education to patients and caregivers on topics such as growth and development, nutrition, immunizations, and safety.
- Promote a holistic approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventive measures.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians, involving them in the decision-making process.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an active & unrestricted license to practice in Oregon.
- Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in Oregon.
- Certification - BLS, PALS, ACLSs.
- A graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program in the area of expertise or specialty indicated by the position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards.
