About the Role

Our Hayden, Idaho branch is growing quickly and working out of a beautiful new shop opened in 2024. As our team expands, we’re looking for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist who keeps things moving—receiving product, preparing shipments, and helping maintain an organized and efficient warehouse. Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance, selecting the most economical and efficient shipping method and appropriate containers. Safely pack items to ensure secure delivery.
  • Prepare bills of lading and compare items to be shipped against work orders to ensure accuracy of quantities, destination, and routing.
  • Receive and unload incoming materials, comparing packing slip information with purchase orders to verify shipment accuracy.
  • Process return shipments from customers and vendors when necessary.
  • Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and log inventory for shipment or receipt.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or defects, record discrepancies or damages, and promptly notify supervisors and/or purchasing personnel.
  • Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items.
  • Trace lost shipments and handle customer claims of lost shipments. Initiate proof of delivery documents.
  • Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records as needed.
  • Operate pallet jacks and/or forklifts to load and unload supplies and equipment. May operate company vehicles for delivery purposes.
  • Assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
  • Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and control standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Successful candidate will possess:

  • Successfully pass drug test screenings throughout employment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to follow directions and instructions accurately.
  • Uphold safety standards and prioritize safety in all tasks.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and communication.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
