Summary
The Campaign Director provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management for the successful planning and execution of Duchesne’s You Hold the Key fundraising campaign. Working in close partnership with the Head of Advancement and Community Development, along with the Advancement staff team and campaign volunteer leadership, the Campaign Director is responsible for coordinating campaign strategy, driving major gift activity, and ensuring effective implementation of all campaign initiatives.
This position serves as the central point of coordination for campaign planning, volunteer engagement, prospect strategy, and progress monitoring. The Campaign Director ensures accountability across the campaign structure, relieves senior leadership of day-to-day campaign management responsibilities, and maintains clear and consistent communication with campaign volunteers, committees, and staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and management for the campaign’s planning, strategy, and implementation.
- Serves as a strategic partner to the Head of Advancement and Community Development in advancing campaign priorities and major gift strategy.
- Coordinates campaign leadership structures, including campaign chairs, committees, and volunteer fundraising teams.
- Drives campaign progress by monitoring fundraising activity, prospect movement, and volunteer engagement Works with major gifts staff to develop and execute prospect strategies, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Manages the campaign timeline, milestones, and overall campaign work plan to ensure progress toward goals.
- Oversees campaign operations, including prospect tracking, reporting systems, and campaign communications.
- Coordinates activities for campaign volunteers involved in leadership and major gift solicitations.
- Monitors campaign budget and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Oversees prospective donor development processes, including identification, research, evaluation, and portfolio management.
- Attends campaign-related meetings and major donor visits as appropriate to support leadership and advance solicitations.
Requirements
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in development, fundraising, campaign management, advancement, or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of major gifts fundraising and campaign strategy
- Experience working with fundraising databases and prospect management systems
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)

Upon Hire
- Successful completion of fingerprint-based background investigation and sexual offender registry checks.
- Successful completion of Safe Environment training.
- CPR certification.
