Electromechanical Technician

Job Summary
The Electromechanical Technician supports the operation, inspection, and maintenance of production equipment and facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. Working under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting installation and repair of manufacturing systems to ensure stable production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or adjustments to restore normal operation.
- Perform breakdown analysis and support root cause investigation of equipment failures.
- Support production line changeovers and assist with installation or upgrades of equipment and technology.
- Coordinate and oversee activities of external contractors working on assigned equipment or production lines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, and materials used.
- Respond to equipment emergencies and production downtime issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, GMP standards, and facility policies.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and support overall housekeeping standards.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to improve safety and equipment reliability.
- Participate in technical training and operational improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including shifts, weekends, or holidays when required.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a technical training program related to maintenance, electrical systems, or automation.
- Experience working in manufacturing equipment maintenance or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting practices in production equipment.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, electrical systems, or troubleshooting.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment and facility systems. The role may require lifting up to 40 lbs, pushing or pulling equipment, and performing tasks involving bending, reaching, or standing for extended periods. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when working in designated production areas.
