About the Role

Goldman Global Arts is seeking a highly experienced Art Gallery Director | Curator to lead the curatorial vision and gallery operations at the Wynwood Walls Museum, one of the world’s leading destinations for contemporary urban art.

This senior leadership role oversees exhibition programming, artist relations, gallery operations, and sales performance. 


The Art Gallery Director|Curator will curate monthly exhibitions, cultivate relationships with collectors and artists, and drive strategic growth while strengthening the gallery’s reputation within the contemporary art community.


Candidates must bring significant gallery management experience and an established professional network within the art industry.


Requirements:


• Minimum 10+ years of gallery leadership experience
• Proven track record managing exhibitions, gallery operations, and art sales
• Established relationships with artists, collectors, and art world professionals
• Strong leadership and strategic vision within the contemporary art market

Compensation: 


$95k-$100k Salary, Based on Experience


Key Responsibilities

  • Curate and present innovative exhibitions featuring local and international artists, delivering over 50 exhibitions throughout career tenure.
  • Conceptualize and execute monthly exhibitions with tailored marketing, design, and spatial strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with emerging and established artists to develop long-term relationships and expand the gallery’s artist roster.
  • Customize gallery layouts, lighting, and visual presentation to enhance each artist’s unique vision.
  • Introduce accessible art programming to broaden community engagement and expand market reach.
  • Stay informed on contemporary art trends and emerging markets to maintain cultural relevance.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow gallery visibility, sales, and partnerships.
  • Build cross-sector collaborations with corporations, developers, hospitality groups, and cultural institutions.
  • Partner with major property developers to launch large-scale, museum-style public art exhibitions.
  • Identify new market opportunities to expand audience reach and increase revenue streams.
  • Leverage established relationships within the international art community.
  • Oversee sales strategy, pricing structures, and revenue targets.
  • Exceed sales goals through relationship-driven client engagement and strategic positioning.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and operational planning with limited resources.
  • Negotiate artist agreements and consignment terms with transparency and professionalism.
  • Ensure financial sustainability through exhibition sales, partnerships, and creative revenue initiatives.
  • Design and execute customized marketing campaigns for each exhibition.
  • Utilize graphic design expertise and branding strategy to elevate gallery presentation.
  • Cultivate media relationships and secure press coverage.
  • Host exhibition openings and community-driven art events to expand audience engagement.
  • Connect creative communities with commercial partners to position art within mainstream culture.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of assistants and volunteers.
  • Oversee gallery renovations, space acquisition, and operational setup.
  • Manage installation and de-installation of artworks, ensuring proper care and logistics.
  • Maintain inventory systems and documentation of artwork movement and consignment.
  • Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and mission-driven work environment.


Requirements

 Qualifications & Expertise

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts / Graphic Design.
  • Candidates must have an established network and book of business.
  • Over 10 years of gallery leadership and project management experience.
  • Proven success in curating high-impact exhibitions with limited resources.
  • Strong network of artists, collectors, developers, and corporate partners.
  • Expertise in design, branding, and visual communication.
  • Background in project management, packaging design, and strategic brand development.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to build and grow gallery operations from the ground up.
