Job Description

The Role

The Delegate Sales Executive is responsible for driving delegate revenue across a portfolio of leading B2B conferences. This is a high‑volume, transactional sales role requiring excellent communication skills, resilience, and consistent execution. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing existing relationships, and accurately maintaining sales data to support forecasting and event performance. I addition gathering insights from customer conversations to inform value proposition refinements.

You will work closely with the Delegate Sales Manager and other internal stakeholders to maximise conversion, deliver excellent customer experience, and contribute to the commercial success of the global events portfolio.

Principle Accountabilities

As a Delegate Sales Executive, you will be accountable for delivery in the following areas.

Sales & Revenue Delivery

  • Achieve and exceed individual delegate revenue sales targets across assigned events.
  • Conduct high‑volume outbound calling, email outreach and LinkedIn prospecting.
  • Manage a personal pipeline, ensuring timely follow‑up and strong conversion rates.
  • Identify new business opportunities and engage lapsed or inactive customers.
  • Build new prospect databases through outreach activities and nurture to drive conversion                               

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build rapport and consultative relationships with prospects and delegates.
  • Understand customer needs and articulate the value of attending our events.
  • Maintain professional communication across all touchpoints (phone, email, LinkedIn).

CRM, Data Quality & Process Discipline

  • Ensure accurate and timely updates within Salesforce, including accurate pipeline reports, activity logs and contact details.
  • Maintain data integrity to support forecasting and reporting.
  • Follow best‑practice processes for call quality, follow-up cadence, and data-driven targeting.

Collaboration & Team Contribution

  • Work closely with the Delegate Sales Manager to review performance metrics and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with marketing on lead quality, audience targeting and campaign performance.
  • Share customer feedback and market sentiment with production and wider teams to inform any necessary changes/ improvements to the value proposition for each event

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly phone-based sales.
  • Strong organisational skills with disciplined pipeline and CRM management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, remain resilient, and hit daily/weekly activity KPIs.
  • High level of motivation and a results‑driven mindset.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRMs.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and outreach tools.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, production, and finance teams.
  • Ability to report clearly supported by data and insights
  • A true team player, committed to achieving collective goals and supporting team success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Experienced in use of key sales platforms such as Salesforce, Zoom, Conversico
