Whether it's helping a guest find the perfect souvenir, arranging displays that capture the magic of Rock City, or ensuring every transaction is smooth and welcoming, you play a key role in creating memorable shopping experiences for every visitor.

This role isn’t just about selling merchandise—it’s about creating connections. Guests come to Rock City to explore, discover, and take home a piece of their adventure, and you’ll be there to guide them, making their visit special from start to finish.


What You’ll Do

  • Be the face of Rock City retail, greeting guests with warmth and helping them find the perfect items.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process purchases, returns, and gift card transactions with accuracy.
  • Keep the store fresh and inviting, stocking shelves, arranging eye-catching displays, and keeping merchandise organized.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming shopping environment, handling light housekeeping duties to ensure every guest has a great experience.
  • Stay knowledgeable about Rock City products, sharing information to help guests make informed choices.
  • Assist with inventory control, receiving shipments, restocking items, and participating in periodic inventory counts.
  • Follow all company policies, including cash handling procedures, safety protocols, and loss prevention measures.
  • Work collaboratively with your team, helping achieve sales goals and ensuring a smooth daily operation.
  • Go the extra mile for guests, whether by offering a friendly recommendation, answering questions, or simply making their day better.


Requirements

  • You have experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality (at least one year preferred, but not required).
  • You’re a team player, ready to jump in where needed and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • You’re detail-oriented and organized, making sure displays are neat and transactions are accurate.
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, where every shift brings something new.
  • You have strong communication skills, making it easy to engage with guests and teammates.
  • You’re flexible and available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • You’re comfortable with physical tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 15 pounds, and occasional kneeling or crouching.
