What will you be doing?
The Communications Strategist designs and executes the narratives and experiences that connect our people to our mission and values. This is a high-ownership role for a strategist who can work autonomously to bridge the gap between business goals and performance. You will ensure that as Clickstop scales, our communication system continues to foster an environment where engagement—commitment and aligned action with our mission and values—is most likely to occur. 

Strategic Internal Communication

  • Narrative & Change Management: Translate complex business goals and company transitions into relatable messaging that maximizes clarity.
  • Connection & Experience Design: Architect the creative concept and execution for employee events, gifts, and outings to build social capital across distributed teams.
  • Omni-Channel Innovation: Audit and evolve communication channels (digital and physical) to effectively reach all employees, whether on the floor, at a desk, or remote.
  • Immersive Onboarding: Design sustainable, scalable experiences that rapidly connect new hires to our mission, values, and strategic goals.
  • Environmental Communication: Influence the physical and digital work environment—using wayfinding, signage, and layout—to improve navigation, usability, and belonging.

External Branding & Reputation Management

  • Holistic Storytelling: Own the strategy and execution for the website, blogs, and social media channels to attract top talent and grow our brand presence.
  • Digital Strategy & SEO: Manage content planning, platform-specific storytelling, and SEO optimization to ensure high-performing, on-brand external engagement.
  • Award & Media Management: Oversee the end-to-end workflow for workplace awards and media relations to validate and promote our reputation as a top employer.
  • Performance Insights: Establish listening channels and KPIs across all platforms to pivot strategies based on sentiment, reach, and engagement data.

Content Excellence & Brand Stewardship

  • Voice Stewardship: Act as the champion of Clickstop’s unique tone, ensuring every touchpoint accurately reflects our mission and values.
  • Multi-Media Production: Move beyond text by coordinating video and graphic elements to enhance the impact and memorability of our communication mix.
  • Strategic Coaching: Partner with managers and stakeholders to ensure their communications are aligned with our brand standards and organizational priorities.

You’re Experience…

  • Professional Background: 2–5 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Content & Social Strategy (Preferred): Proven experience managing or contributing to brand social channels, with a focus on strategic content planning, copywriting, and performance analysis.
  • Visual & Creative Expertise (Preferred): Experience designing or coordinating branded assets.
  • Portfolio of Work: Demonstrated ability to provide diverse samples of internal campaigns, professional blog posts, or comprehensive content strategies.

Hybrid: This role combines remote flexibility with essential onsite collaboration at our headquarters in Urbana, IA.
