$2,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, as well as affordable, furnished housing starting at $400/month.

We're currently seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Team. Principle Purpose of Job

Ensure all facilities throughout the property are well-kept by providing hands-on leadership to the maintenance team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team to complete HotSOS requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Responsible for all facets of property maintenance including facility upkeep, grounds, vehicle maintenance, Ranch systems management, water treatment plant management, purchasing, invoice reporting and providing leadership role to staff. 
  • Works with all department heads to ensure that operational goals are met. 
  • Provides input for annual budgeting process as requested by Director of Facilities. 
  • Performs annual PM on Ranch systems including water treatment plants, pool mechanical systems, heating and cooling systems, etc.
  • Ensure that Maintenance staff receives proper training in their respective job duties.
  • Keep maintenance shop, equipment and tools in clean and organized order. 
  • Works with other department heads and staff to ensure proactive approach to Ranch maintenance issues.
  • Other duties as requested by Director to ensure optimal guest experience.
  • Hiring, interviewing, scheduling and payroll for maintenance personnel. Conducts periodic reviews and annual performance reviews.
  • With the evolution of Devil’s Thumb Ranch the responsibilities of this position may change. The Maintenance Manager must be prepared to accept new responsibilities and transfer to others.
  • Provides leadership for Maintenance department and ensures Ranch policies and procedures are followed.
  • Other duties as requested by Director of Facilities to ensure optimal guest experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years related maintenance experience in a hotel/resort environment.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience 
  • Heat and cooling system knowledge, understanding of geo-thermal heating systems
  • Experience with pool and hot tub maintenance
  • Knowledge of fresh and waste water treatment plants
  • General knowledge and/or experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, vehicle operation and grounds maintenance skills required. 
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License & clear driving record required
  • May require 50+ hour week during periods of peak business needs.
  • Have ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift/carry 20-30 lbs or more regularly. 


Compensation Description:

$75,000 – $85,000/yr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time position with an expectation of working 40 hours a week on average.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
