This role requires you to show initiative while performing basic stocking and cleaning functions, aid customers in finding products, and carry out orders to customer vehicles. You will acquire knowledge about products: gardening, pet and animal needs to be able to make recommendations. Customers regularly rely on team members for insights which often prove crucial to purchase decisions.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers with merchandise.
- Work safely and efficiently to provide excellent customer service.
- Organize and rotate stock.
- Keep store equipment and supplies organized and maintained consistently with safety and cleanliness requirements.
- Learn and maintain product knowledge.
- Clean and maintain fixtures, displays, shelves and aisles.
- Repackage and label product as needed.
- Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
- Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes weekends.
- Experience in warehouse practices is preferred. Must be organized and able to prioritize work.
- The successful applicant will have excellent customer service skills and previous customer service experience.
- Good communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Physical ability to lift 50-70 lbs, climb ladders frequently, walk and stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use hands, arms, and shoulders to reach and move products and materials.
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in a dusty environment.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check as a condition of employment

- Forklift experience
SCHEDULE
This is a seasonal position with up to 40 hours per week available. Retail staff are scheduled within store hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Candidates must have flexible availability and be willing to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
