We are currently looking for an experienced Powder Coating Painter to work in our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include operating specialized tools and machinery to paint fitness equipment. To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of powder coating equipment and how to operate them skillfully and safely. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail.


This position is a temp-to-hire using a third-party agency. Employees are evaluated after 90 days andoffered a position with the company if they are meeting expectations.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare surfaces by masking or chemical rinsing in a high-volume production

• Complete jobs on time by following schedule

• Inspect parts for defects

• Load parts on powder coating conveyor

• Applying powder coating per manufacturer requirements

• Clean paint guns and the booth to prevent contamination

• Able to make adjustments to powder coating equipment. powder coating guns & hoppers

• Examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications

• Maintain equipment daily in a condition that does not compromise safety

• Ensure all work produced meets customers' quality expectations

• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and completes preventive maintenance


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Manufacturing experience: 6+ months (preferred)

• Basic math and measurement (Quart, Gallon, Etc.) skills

• Knowledge and experience working within paint booths, batch painting, or conveyor line painting preferred.

• Knowledge of job-related safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (coveralls, gloves, safety shoes, respirator, etc.)

• Great attention to detail

• Able to lift 45 pounds without assistance and 20 pounds overhead

• Ability to work in standing position painting for an extended period

• Able to work in a warm to hot environment


SCHEDULE

• 8-hour day shift

• Monday through Friday, some weekends may be required


WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Fast-paced environment with others relying on completion of tasks

• Standing for 8+ hours a day, breaks limited to scheduled meals and rest periods

• Hot environment without AC, fans are available in some areas of the building

• Dress code is casual: safety–toed work boots required, no tank tops, no shorts


COMPENSATION

• Non-Exempt position; Salary range: $18.00 - $20.00 an hour

• Final compensation will be determined and based on experience

• This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law

• Quarterly bonus option available for most employees
