Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager to join our team at ibis Styles Mysuru, India. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial operations, lead accounting teams, and ensure the organization maintains accurate, transparent financial records. You'll work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive financial excellence, support strategic decision-making, and establish robust internal controls that safeguard organizational assets.   • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to the accounting team and payroll staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Prepare and assist in the development of monthly financial reports, schedules, and analyses required by senior management
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting entries, charges, and credits across various accounts, maintaining compliance with established accounting standards
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive expense account schedules and reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Reconcile all Balance Sheet items with their respective subsidiary ledgers and schedules, ensuring all contra and clearance accounts are properly cleared monthly
  • Collaborate with leadership to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts that support effective organizational management and goal achievement
  • Establish, monitor, and enhance internal controls and processes to guarantee timely, accurate financial data and reporting
  • Review and analyze the impact of changes in laws and government regulations on the organization's accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reports and conduct detailed analysis to support the information requirements of senior finance leadership
  • Record, classify, and summarize accounting transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and best practices
  • Review, verify, and authorize journal vouchers prepared by cost control, general cashier, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and audit teams
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications

**Required Skills & Competencies:**

  • Advanced proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices
  • Expertise in budget preparation, management, and variance analysis
  • Proficiency in internal controls design and implementation
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members

**Required Experience:**

  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance management
  • Proven experience supervising and managing accounting teams
  • Demonstrated experience in financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Experience with payroll management and oversight
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and government accounting regulations

**Required Education & Certifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • Familiarity with Indian accounting standards and tax regulations is highly desirable
