QA/QC Engineer (Electrical)

Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire a QA/QC Engineer(Electrical) based in Basra for an - on site position.
Skills and Qualifications

• PV Field: check modules, trackers, combiner boxes, string monitoring, and DC cabling – routing, crimping, insulation, continuity, IR testing.
• Inverters & LV Systems: make sure installation and wiring follow drawings, test LV panels, AC cables , UPS, batteries, and auxiliary systems.
• MV Equipment: inspect switchgear, transformers (LV/MV), relays, interlocks, cable terminations/joints, and carry out FAT/SAT and site tests (VLF, hipot, ratio, CT/PT tests).
• Earthing & Lightning: verify electrode depth, continuity, resistance values, and lightning protection according to IEC standards.
• Substation & Transmission: review GIS/AIS equipment, 132/33 kV yards, busbars, protection panels, and SCADA/SAS integration, including fiber optics.
• Documentation: prepare/review ITPs, method statements, FAT reports, punch lists, NCRs, and close them properly.
• Coordination: be on site daily with EPC, subcontractors, and client/owner engineer to witness inspections and resolve issues.
