ECE Team Leader | Busy Bees Masterton

Mentor a cohesive team in a centre that prioritises trust, professional autonomy, and individualised care. Drive pedagogical quality in a space that values respectful, child-led practice.
About us:
We are a team that values giving our tamariki the roots to grow and the wings to fly. Joining the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau gives you national support within a local, nurturing team nestled in Lansdowne. Every role is essential to our daily flow, from our kitchen where our cook prepares fresh, Nourish-approved meals to the mahi in our spacious indoor and outdoor spaces. We work together to foster discovery and happiness, supporting both tuakana-teina interactions and the individual growth of every tamaiti. Whether you are facilitating sensory play or keeping our centre running smoothly behind the scenes, you will be part of a supportive whānau that celebrates our multicultural community.
About You:
You are a fully registered ECE or Primary trained kaiako with leadership experience or the clear drive to step up.
Pedagogical practice is anchored in Te Whāriki and a commitment to child-led discovery.
Authentic leadership comes naturally through an approachable coaching style and professional integrity.
Building genuine partnerships with whānau and the community is a core strength.
The Mahi:

Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.
We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
