Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) is a cultural and civic cornerstone of New York City. Overview

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus, which is home to 11 separate resident organizations. LCPA presents over 350 performances annually throughout our different performance series. 

Guest Experience Representatives (GE Reps) are the welcoming faces of Lincoln Center. They greet guests at events and performances in David Geffen Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The David Rubenstein Atrium, Stanley Kaplan Penthouse, Clark Studio, and many outdoor performance spaces around campus. In addition to greeting and general way finding, they assist guests at all entry & security check points. It is important Guest Experience Reps always model Lincoln Center’s three Guest Experience Principles: Inclusive, Engaged and Distinct. 

You’ll be a great fit if can perform the following:

  • Greet guests attending events presented by Lincoln Center.
  • Ensure all guests comply with current health and safety protocols, upon entry, during events and exit.
  • Exemplify excellent customer care characteristics in all interactions with patrons, guests, and fellow co-workers.
  • Provide accurate information about an event or venue upon request, including directions, program or constituent organizations.
  • Work with Security to maintain access control to performance areas and assist guests at all Security check points.
  • Distribute event materials to guests as needed.
  • Notify management and/or Security of any emergency situations immediately as they occur. 

You’ll Be a great fit if you have the following:

  • Proven customer service experience. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Flexible availability is a must, including being able to work during matinee, evening, and weekend performances numerous times a week
  • Ability to stand for varying periods of time; such requirements to be performed either with or without reasonable accommodation.

Required Availability: Candidates must be available for the following key dates/times to be considered. Please note all interviews and trainings listed below will occur in-person at Lincoln Center. 

Duration: This is a part-time temporary position June 3, 2026 through August 9, 2026.

Interview Day: April 29, 2026 between 10am-6pm 

Orientation: There will be an orientation scheduled to onboard all new employees (strongly encouraged but not required) for May 18, 2026 and June 2, 2026.

Training: June 3, 2026 from 12pm-4pm

Summer for the City Team Meeting: Either June 8th from 5pm-8pm or June 9th from 12pm-3pm (please note candidates do not need to be available for both June 8th and 9th)  

Submission Procedure: Cover letters, outlining your interest in Lincoln Center, are required for applications to be considered complete. Submissions without cover letters will not be reviewed.
