Requirements

Job Summary:


Help support VRCCO’s mission by helping to attract, hire, and onboard exceptional veterinary professionals while supporting core HR operations. This role is essential in developing a strong pipeline of veterinary technicians, clinical staff, and support professionals in a highly competitive labor market. Approximately 60% of effort will be focused on recruiting activities and 40% on core HR functions that support a strong organization and provide opportunities for personal career growth.
Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recruiting, HR coordination, or administrative HR experience preferred
  • Experience supporting recruiting or talent acquisition processes
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional long-term relationships with individuals and organizations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams
  • Experience working with HR systems or applicant tracking systems preferred
  • Passion for supporting a positive workplace culture and employee experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage job postings across recruiting platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, and veterinary-specific job boards to maintain a strong pipeline of candidates.
  • Coordinate the recruiting process from application through interview scheduling, including applicant tracking, candidate communication, and hiring manager coordination.
  • Conduct initial resume reviews and assist with preliminary candidate screening to support efficient hiring decisions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a professional and positive candidate experience.
  • Support recruiting outreach initiatives including job fairs, professional networks, and veterinary school partnerships to strengthen the hospital’s talent pipeline.
  • Coordinate reference checks, background screenings, offer documentation, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and new hire documentation, including verification of professional licenses, certifications, and credentials for veterinary and clinical staff.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes and checklists to ensure new employees are prepared, supported, and successfully integrated into their teams.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS while supporting HR reporting and compliance documentation.
  • Provide HR coordination support by assisting with employee transitions, engagement initiatives, training programs, and collaboration across the HR team.
