Position Summary
The Project Manager II will lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment systems and distribution or collection networks. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating internal teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities / Day-to-Day
- Manage water and wastewater projects from planning through design and delivery, with support from senior staff on more complex elements
- Coordinate project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring work is completed on time and within expectations
- Serve as a day-to-day client contact, supporting relationship management and communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, environmental, permitting, and field staff
- Support the design and development of potable water and wastewater systems, including treatment processes, system upgrades, and rehabilitation efforts
- Assist in preparing engineering plans, technical reports, specifications, and permit applications
- Evaluate existing infrastructure and contribute to developing practical solutions to improve system performance and reliability
- Support construction-phase services, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and coordination with contractors
- Identify and communicate project risks or challenges, working with senior team members to develop solutions
- Contribute to proposals and business development efforts, particularly with existing clients
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff, helping them grow their technical and project experience
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer license
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Project management experience with budget and schedule responsibility
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
Preferred
- Municipal project experience
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania regulations
- Experience leading teams
