About the Role

Description

  

This role will have both strategic and administrative responsibilities with vital involvement in critical HR functions such as performance management, leave administration and team member support. To ensure smooth and efficient business operations, the HR Generalist will be actively involved in the daily functions of the People & Culture Department (Human Resources)


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • ·Provide policy and procedure guidance and interpretation to team members and operations. Update policies and procedures as needed to improve the team member experience and add to the efficiency of HR and the business.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate open enrollment, employee changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
  • Assist in the administration of the benefits, compensation and performance management programs.
  • Partner with Payroll as needed in the processing of payroll or unique payroll related situations.
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
  • Take an active role in new team member on-boarding and orientation.
  • Partner with Employee Engagement in the development and maintenance of the talent management processes.
  • Monitor team member morale and company culture and make recommendations as needed.
  • Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • At the direction of the Human Resources manager, review and assist in the investigation of claims of sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and any necessary corrective and/or disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain team member personnel records.
  • Conduct exit interviews. Determine trends and needed action.
  • Handle the Leave of Absence process in the HRIS system, including initial paperwork, tracking and follow up with impacted employees and management. Ensure compliance with state, federal and all legal requirements. Analysis of trends and reporting.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

  

Job Qualifications

Knowledge:

· Demonstrated knowledge of all human resources functions

· Working knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment regulations

· Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance

· Working knowledge of personnel and compliance records management

  Experience:

· 3-5 years human resources experience in a generalist role.

· Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems. Working knowledge of Paylocity a plus.

· Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred though not required. Comparable experience may be substituted for a degree.

· PHR or SPHR certification preferred

The expected compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
