Senior Test Engineer: Provides intermediate level independent consultation and space systems testing expertise. Provides recommendations and strategic advice system verification, methodologies, approaches, and improvements.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be able to function as a Senior Test Engineer and Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME). This candidate must possess space system test experience, systems engineering expertise and experience with designing, developing and integrating space systems. The candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a strong, performing and geographically diverse team working in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. The candidate shall be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining integration test plans/test suites for integrated software modules of a large complex enterprise management and monitoring suite of solutions.
Position Duties
- Serve as the Test SME.
- Understand DevSecOps concepts.
- Coordinate troubleshooting support between multiple vendors and organizations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancy reports (DRs) during system integration and testing.
- Coordinate software training as required to support testing.
- Lead integrated program teams (IPTs) and technical exchange meetings (TEMs) as required to define development activities and resolve issues. Identify, track and resolve associated action items.
- Work with multiple government organizations to develop and test mission ground system enhancements.

Travel Requirements
- Occasional CONUS travel in support of program reviews and customer engagements (primarily Colorado Springs, Los Angeles AFB/El Segundo, and National Capital Region).
- Limited OCONUS travel as required by mission needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum fifteen (15) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience with no less than five (5) total years of experience in SCI or above environment, with at least one (1) year of that total being within the past five (5) years.
- Experience working with government acquisition offices that deliver capabilities for the warfighter.
- Knowledge of space systems engineering and development.
- Understanding of operational space environment and corresponding mission user needs.
- Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition to operations.
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and risk management.
- Capability to perform functional duties independently and with minimal guidance.
- Communicates clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written.
- BA/BS degree in related field.
Desired Qualifications:
- Program management and Systems Engineering SME or SETA support to a Government program office.
- Experience working with government research and development programs.
- Experience with software engineering and agile software development.
- An applicable engineering degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or possess a Professional Engineering license.
- MA/MS/ME degree
Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment.
