Job Summary
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for supporting daily HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and policy administration. This role requires a well-rounded HR background and the ability to effectively problem solve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The HR Administrator partners with leadership to address employee concerns, support operations, and align staffing strategies with organizational goals while ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience.
This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development within the HR function, including increased responsibility in employee relations, compliance, and strategic HR initiatives.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership team to understand the organizatoin's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruting, and retention.
- Manage full cycle recruiting efforts including creating job postings, managing online advertisements, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, extending offers, and coordinating hiring processes
- Partner with department managers to identify required skills, competencies, and staffing needs for open positions
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, paperwork completion, and benefit education
- Present and explain employee benefit offerings and support enrollment processes
- Provide employee relations support by assisting with disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations in accordance with company policies
- Maintain a working knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity)
- Support HR initiatives including employee engagement, retention programs, and training efforts
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of Human Resources experience preferred (recruiting and employee relations experience strongly preferred)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and compliance requirements
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to support both employees and leadership
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to support effective communication
