We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I (Generalist) to join our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance tasks across multiple trades to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify and resolve issues before they escalate
  • Maintain common areas, resident units, and outdoor spaces in excellent condition
  • Assist with unit turnovers, including minor repairs, cleaning, and preparation for new residents
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and community policies
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • 1 - 3 years of general maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills, especially when interacting with senior residents
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license required
