Technical Accounting and Revenue Manager - REMOTE

In this critical role, you will contribute to various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Collaborating closely with the accounting team, you will support financial reporting processes while utilizing your expertise in revenue recognition policies. Your analytical skills and experience in the government contracting industry will drive efficiency and effectiveness in our financial operations. This role can be performed fully remotely anywhere in the Continental United States with preference to the Washington DC Metro area.

• Lead implementation and analysis of revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606.
• Ensure accurate contract review, revenue treatment, and financial reporting.
• Assist in the monthly close process, including preparing workpapers and reconciliations.
• Record monthly journal entries ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
• Support accurate quarterly SEC filings and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare technical accounting memos on an ad-hoc basis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of ASC 606 principles.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP reporting standards.
• Experience in preparing SEC filings for publicly traded companies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Hands-on experience with SOX compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
