Busser Job Description

Summary of Position:

The Busser is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the restaurant. They are also responsible for helping the servers provide an enjoyable atmosphere for our guests. Bussers need to have open communication with the hosts and managers to ensure all reservations and walk-in guests are taken care of in a timely manner. This position is expected to help assist in restocking as well as removal of all dirty dishes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bus, clean and reset tables within 3 minutes after guests have left

• Assist in pre-bussing tables

• Make sure trash from all areas is collected and removed

• Assist in polishing all silverware and glassware

• Ensure all areas of the restaurant are swept and free of debris

• Perform outside property walks to check the driveway, patio, and front walk for any debris

• Help keep all dishes, silverware, and glassware stocked

• Consistently collect, wash, sanitize and restock all glass and barware for repeated use

• Perform general duties such as taking out trash, gathering and removing soiled linens, cleaning and stocking restrooms, and complying with special requests set forth by management

• Assist in putting away inventory as it arrives

• Provided a professional, friendly, and courteous service to all customers

• Assisted with various janitorial duties

• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the team and organization.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to stand for 6 or more hours at a time

• Occasional lifting up to 50lbs will be expected

• Physical demands of repetitive twisting, squatting, bending, and climbing stairs will occur during shifts
