Focus of the Role
As Business Senior Specialist – Content Systems and AI Enablement, you work within the Content Strategy & Performance team as the technical orchestrator behind Telstra’s content innovation. You are a systems thinker and structured problem solver specializing in content architecture and design tooling. You operate at the intersection of design, production, tooling and workflow platforms to translate creative ambition into scalable, intelligent solutions that support the Content Group increasingly, the broader enterprise.
You bring clarity to complex content environments by defining structured models and reusable components to deliver high quality customer experiences. You connect business needs, user experience and technical implementation to ensure content systems are designed sustainably and governance embedded.
Purpose of the Role
You partner with Content Operations, Design and Developers to ideate and define requirements, map workflows, and deliver tooling that enables speed, consistency, and governance. From proofing agents for Writers to image versioning tools for Designers, you help shape the next generation of content enablement. Over time, your remit expands to enterprise grade services like “Brand Guidelines as a Service” and “Tone of Voice as a Service. You will design and maintain structured content models and a modular content framework to enable flexible assembly across web, app and emerging platforms.

Structured Integrator – You understand design, production, taxonomies and development to architect content to drive consistency, reuse, scale and quality efficiently
Workflow Mapper – You understand how content gets made and how technology can improve speed, quality, and compliance
Cross Functional Collaborator – You work across creative, technical, and governance teams to align on priorities and execution for quality enterprise solutions
Governance Aware requirements - You embed accessibility, brand, and legal standards into tooling requirements
Customer Centric - You ensure every solution supports better experiences for both creators and end users
Delivery Focused - You track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure outcomes are met
Change Enabler – You help teams adopt new tools and ways of working through clear documentation and support
You Make the Complex Tech Simple – You translate design and business needs into clear, actionable requirements for development, product and design teams
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the strategic roadmap for content technology enablement across Telstra
Lead business analysis and solutioning for content architecture and AI tooling, leveraging design systems, and workflow platforms for the Digital Content Group
Collaborate with AI Developers to define use cases, guardrails, and performance requirements for generative agents
Partner with Design Systems Specialists to shape reusable components and templates that support scalable design within the frontend CMS Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Map current and future-state workflows across content production, identifying opportunities for automation and uplift aligned to business KPIs
Translate user needs into functional specifications and technical requirements
Support the development of enterprise-grade services (e.g. Brand Guidelines as a Service, Tone of Voice as a Service)
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and feedback loops to validate tooling concepts and prioritise features based on prioritisation framework
Document processes, standards, and usage protocols for enablement and training
Track delivery progress and ensure solutions meet business objectives and user expectations
Govern content architecture for the Digital Content Group ensuring content models, taxonomies, metadata and CMS requirements are operational
Key Skills and Technical Expertise
Stakeholder engagement across creative, technical, and governance teams
Deep understanding of content architecture and requirements to enable AI tooling
Practical design platform experience including Figma, Adobe suite or similar
Experience shaping and embedding federated content delivery into large teams
AI tool knowledge and acumen, preferably with utilization examples in current work
Deep understanding of CMS platforms, preferably AEM
Business requirements gathering and documentation
Workflow analysis and future-state mapping
Functional specification writing for AI and design tooling
Workshop facilitation and user feedback synthesis
Governance integration: accessibility, brand, legal
Process documentation and enablement resource creation
Agile delivery tracking and prioritization
Strategic planning for tooling and transformation
Change management and adoption support
Strong communicator with business acumen
Experience navigating complex, large organisations to deliver outcomes
