Role summary

As a partner promoting appropriate use at key medical institutions, the Key Account Manager plays a role in shaping the future of treatment and care for patients by collaborating with these institutions.

By deeply understanding the clinical systems, decision-making structures, and patient experiences at assigned medical institutions, they build an environment where our products can be promptly delivered to the appropriate patients through changes in treatment policies and improvements in hospital operations.

Rather than merely promoting products, they contribute to solving healthcare institutions’ challenges, thereby enhancing medical value and achieving sustainable business growth.

This position plays a critical role in driving treatment strategy transformation and shaping the future of patient care through partnerships with key medical institutions.

The Key Account Manager will primarily be responsible for the following advanced medical institutions:

  • National-scale medical institutions (National Centers)
  • University Hospitals
  • Regional Core Hospitals

At these medical institutions, you will drive strategic account management while understanding cross-departmental collaboration and internal decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Formulation and Promotion of Key Account Strategies

Analyze the clinical systems, patient flow, and decision-making structures of key medical institutions to formulate and execute medium- to long-term account strategies. While building trusting relationships with stakeholders, provide value as a partner working alongside medical institutions to shape the future of patient care.

  • Prescription Penetration & Institutional Transformation
    We analyze clinical processes and treatment policies to develop and execute prescription penetration strategies that ensure this medication is promptly delivered to the appropriate patients. We will promote the transformation of treatment pathways and the improvement of hospital operations by fostering cross-departmental collaboration and supporting the implementation of hospital protocols.

  • Engagement & Scientific Partnerships

We build relationships of trust with Key External Experts (KEEs) at an early stage and promote scientific discussions based on clinical challenges. We will strengthen relationships with the medical community through activities such as promoting appropriate use within healthcare institutions, proposing new clinical pathways

  • Business Advancement Through Cross-Functional Collaboration
    We collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing, Medical Affairs, Pharmaceutical Vigilance, and Commercial Excellence (including SFEs) to drive key account strategies. We analyze market opportunities, patient perspectives, and the competitive landscape to maximize business results across the organization.

  • Contribution to the Entire Sales Department
     Contribute to the growth and improved performance of the entire sales department, not just one’s own division. Specifically, actively share best sales practices and risk management experience to promote the accumulation of organizational knowledge and the strengthening of sales capabilities.

What you’ll bring

  • MR Certification
  • Standard Driver's License
  • 5+ years of MR experience
  • Experience working with university hospitals or major hospitals
  • Experience with new drug adoption at hospitals
  • Experience in the gastroenterology and anesthesiology field is preferred
  • Ability to build consensus with a diverse range of healthcare
    professionals
  • Background in developing and managing account plans that serve as the foundation
    for KAM activities
  • Integrated drive to collaborate with and mobilize cross-functional internal teams (Marketing, Medical, Commercial Excellence/SFE)
  • Ability to understand and support the optimization of SOPs,
    workflows, and protocols within healthcare facilities
  • Demonstrate strong execution of data-driven, precise targeting
