About the Role

About the role

These 12-month fixed-term part-time (4 days/week) roles are for experienced and skilled Registered Nurses. Based at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga you will be a part of a highly dedicated team that provides the best nursing care and advice to patients with palliative care needs.
 

We offer a stimulating workplace and a supportive team environment within the unit. Our staff are valued members of the multi-disciplinary team and are encouraged to participate in all learning and development activities.
 

HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.



About you

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

  • At least two years of post-graduate experience in a hospital setting is essential

  • Experience working in the specialty area of Palliative Care in an inpatient setting or community is desirable

  • Evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in your daily practice as a registered nurse

  • Able to work within a multidisciplinary team

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system

  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
