Summary of Position The Supply Chain Liaison plays a critical role in optimizing the overall productivity and efficiency of the supply chain. This position is responsible for analyzing current processes and identifying opportunities to improve vendor sourcing, ordering workflows, product shipping, and receiving procedures. Liaison will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop strategies that streamline operations, reduce delays, and support organizational goals related to cost-effectiveness and service excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities The Supply Chain Liaison is responsible for analyzing and enhancing the efficiency of supply chain operations across the organization. This role focuses on streamlining vendor sourcing, ordering processes, shipping workflows, and product receiving procedures. Key responsibilities include: - Review and update supply chain practices to ensure alignment with company policies, standards, laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks by forecasting product demand and recommending or adopting new technologies that improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management, including distribution and receiving activities at the site level, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Develop and implement procurement guidelines, providing training and ongoing support to ensure consistent adherence to established protocols across all sites.
- Engage in strategic planning, utilizing systems analysis and evaluation to recommend process improvements that enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Apply strong planning and project management skills to coordinate initiatives and ensure timely completion of key supply‑chain-related projects.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Maintain excellent time management abilities, working effectively under pressure while ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. They must also be able to read and comprehend the English language, maintain confidentiality of sensitive records, and communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in purchasing and warehousing is preferred, particularly within the medical field. Preferred Skills: - Experience with procurement systems and Microsoft applications
- Complete understanding of PAR inventories
- Problem solving
- Good communication skills and follow-up skills with site personnel
Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
