Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum and Vietnamese national standards.

  • Adapt teaching methods and assessment to suit a range of student backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles.

  • Develop and evaluate formative and summative assessments; provide clear, constructive feedback to encourage student progress.

  • Promote a supportive, inclusive, and respectful classroom climate that reflects the VAS values of respect, participation, and excellence.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across subject and year groups to share best practice and foster interdisciplinary learning.

  • Contribute to school-life through participation in school events, projects, and extra-curricular activities relevant to secondary students.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with parents and carers regarding student achievements and wellbeing.

  • Lead or assist in at least one extra-curricular activity or club each week, as part of your teaching role.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Excellent Teaching Skills: Proven ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate Psychology lessons using diverse strategies and technology.

  • Relevant Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology, Education, or a related field; plus recognised teaching credentials (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

  • Curriculum Expertise: Strong understanding of international secondary Cambridge/UK curriculum Psychology frameworks and effective, inclusive classroom practice, with specific expertise in teaching A-Level.

Personal and Professional Qualities 

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Respectful, adaptable attitude towards working in an international school community.

  • Passion for English Education: Genuine interest in motivating secondary students and making a positive impact in Vietnam.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Skilled in building relationships with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

  • Reflective and Growth-Oriented: Commitment to self-improvement, learning new approaches, and contributing to a learning culture.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology , Education, or an equivalent subject.

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent).

  • Minimum two years’ recent experience teaching A-Level Psychology in a Cambridge/UK curriculum environment.

  • Excellent ICT skills and enthusiasm for integrating technology into Psychology learning.
