Do you want to learn from experienced project leaders while gradually owning your own projects?

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our UK Programmes team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their project management career who wants hands‑on experience, continuous training, and the chance to step into a full Project Manager role following a development plan.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Support & Delivery

  • Assist in the initiating, planning, monitoring, and closing of projects.
  • Support cross-functional project teams to ensure delivery on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Maintain project documentation and records within relevant tools and systems.
  • Contribute to producing key project artefacts (WBS, schedules, RACI etc).
  • Support cost and schedule baselines, risk management, and change control.

Commercial Project Activities

  • Support tender generation and customer-facing documentation.
  • Assist with project kick-offs, financial reporting, and stakeholder handovers.

Technology Project Activities

  • Support feasibility studies, product development tasks, and field service investigations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Assist the PMO and Project Controllers with improvement initiatives across the region.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Educational Requirements:

  • College / Further Education Diploma
  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) desirable but not essential

Knowledge:

  • Developing knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, PRINCE2, Agile etc), planning methodologies/techniques and other aspects of project controls.  
  • Basic understanding of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, delivery, closure)

Skills:

  • Initial experience of project management environment.
  • Developing verbal and written communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to identify risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Good problem-solving skills

Competence and Abilities:

  • Developing initial leadership and interpersonal skills. A natural passion to deliver against commitments.
  • Ability to communicate with peers.
  • Good attention to detail, highly organised and ability to work with general instructions on routine work and with detailed guidance on new assignments.
