We’re looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our UK Programmes team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their project management career who wants hands‑on experience, continuous training, and the chance to step into a full Project Manager role following a development plan.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Support & Delivery
- Assist in the initiating, planning, monitoring, and closing of projects.
- Support cross-functional project teams to ensure delivery on time, within scope and within budget.
- Maintain project documentation and records within relevant tools and systems.
- Contribute to producing key project artefacts (WBS, schedules, RACI etc).
- Support cost and schedule baselines, risk management, and change control.
Commercial Project Activities
- Support tender generation and customer-facing documentation.
- Assist with project kick-offs, financial reporting, and stakeholder handovers.
Technology Project Activities
- Support feasibility studies, product development tasks, and field service investigations.
Continuous Improvement
- Assist the PMO and Project Controllers with improvement initiatives across the region.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Educational Requirements:
- College / Further Education Diploma
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) desirable but not essential
Knowledge:
- Developing knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, PRINCE2, Agile etc), planning methodologies/techniques and other aspects of project controls.
- Basic understanding of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, delivery, closure)
Skills:
- Initial experience of project management environment.
- Developing verbal and written communication and people management skills.
- Ability to identify risks, issues, and dependencies
- Good problem-solving skills
Competence and Abilities:
- Developing initial leadership and interpersonal skills. A natural passion to deliver against commitments.
- Ability to communicate with peers.
- Good attention to detail, highly organised and ability to work with general instructions on routine work and with detailed guidance on new assignments.
