Senior Human Resources Generalist

Dynabrade is recruiting for a Senior Human Resources Generalist. This position is a key, hands-on role requiring comprehensive knowledge across the HR spectrum. The Senior HR Generalist will work closely with managers and employees, with a focus on payroll processing, benefit administration, recruitment support and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Requirements
- Lead payroll administration; ensures accurate, timely employee compensation by processing payroll runs, bonus runs, managing tax withholdings, deductions, and garnishments, and maintaining compliance with labor laws.
- Maintain payroll records, pay discrepancies, file state registrations, process unemployment forms and generate reports
- Administer health and benefit plans, payroll, leave of absence and other HR-related actions, as necessary
- Promote and support employee and manager self-service of available on-line HR tools
- Lead employee leave of absence administration with benefit providers.
- Coach, guild and lead managers and employees consistently regarding corrective action, policies and procedures
- Provide recruitment, selection and onboarding support for Dynabrade and its wholly owned subsidiaries.
- Provide training and guidance with performance management, interviewing skills, harassment prevention, and termination procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local/state/country labor laws and regulations; maintain accurate recordkeeping and conduct compliance audits as required
- Support company wide functions, events and engagements
- Experience: Several years of progressive human resources experience, preferably 4–6 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of employment law, proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, UltiPro), and excellent interpersonal/conflict resolution skills. Indeed +2
This role generally requires a "hands-on" mentality and the ability to work independently to support both corporate and plant-level goals.
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Several years of progressive human resources experience, preferably 4–6 years in a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong knowledge of employment law, proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity, Employee Navigator, etc), and excellent interpersonal/conflict resolution skills. Ability to presentation and communicate effectively under pressure. Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Ability to influence. Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and emotional intelligence.
Knowledge & Skills
Human Resources Certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
American Payroll Association Certification, preferred.
Specialized Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state labor, tax and employment laws.
HRIS payroll, benefit and people managment software.
